What Is The Difference Between Packaging Film And Bubble Film?

There are significant differences between packaging film and bubble film in many aspects, which are mainly reflected in the use, material, characteristics and application scenarios.

1. Use
Packaging film:
Mainly used for external packaging of items, such as food, medicine, textiles, etc.
It can fit closely to the goods, make the packaging look beautiful, and ensure the hygiene and safety of the goods.
Bubble film:
Mainly used for internal filling and wrapping of products to provide cushioning, shockproof, anti-wear and other protection.
It is widely used in transportation protection packaging for express delivery and logistics, as well as moving and packing.

2. Material
Packaging film:
Mainly made of mixed extrusion of polyethylene resin, and may also include materials such as biaxially oriented polyester (BOPET), BOPP film and CPP film.
These materials have puncture resistance and ultra-high strength and high performance, are non-toxic and suitable for a variety of packaging needs.
Bubble film:
Mainly made of high-pressure polyethylene as the main raw material, and then added with whitening agent, opening agent and other auxiliary materials, and extruded and blistered into bubbles at high temperature.
It is a new type of plastic packaging material with light texture, good transparency, non-toxicity and tastelessness.

3. Characteristics
Packaging film:
It has functions such as transparency, sealing, fixation (small parts will not fall over during transportation), dust and moisture resistance.
It can form a compact, space-saving unit, so that the goods are tightly wrapped together to prevent mutual dislocation and movement of goods during transportation.
Bubble film:
It has the advantages of good shock absorption, impact resistance, heat sealing, non-toxic, odorless, moisture-proof, corrosion-resistant, and good transparency.
It provides cushioning and shock protection through air-filled bubbles in the middle layer, effectively preventing the product from being damaged by impact during transportation.

4. Application scenarios
Packaging film:
It is more suitable for the external packaging of some products in foreign trade export, papermaking, hardware, plastic chemicals, building materials, food, medicine and other industries.
It can provide a stable, neat and waterproof packaging environment.
Bubble film:
It is more suitable for internal filling and wrapping of fragile items, valuables, and products that require shock and wear protection.
It is widely used in shock-resistant cushioning packaging for electronics, instruments, ceramics, handicrafts, household appliances, furniture and lacquer products, glass products and precision instruments.
